Systemic Family Constellations is a method founded by the German therapist, Bert Hellinger. It is often referred to as ‘super short-term therapy’.
It has gained immense popularity in recent years in the world as ‘one of the most fascinating phenomena in psychotherapy’. It discovers and refers to natural rights in families and relationships.
The therapy involves referring ones’ difficulties and problems to the family system, because its fates, important events and entanglements are often multi-generational. It turns out that we unconsciously carry these entanglements through life and pass them on to the next generation. They are our strength, and they create the present. However, sometimes they greatly complicate our lives.
The family constellation method is a form of group therapy. It requires both a spatial, symbolic reproduction of the family structure with the help of other members of the group, and the search for new solutions and harmony.
Participation in such a group is a profoundly moving experience for many people that results in a better understanding of oneself, ones’ place, destiny, etc. It opens new possibilities for acting and living ones’ life. It can affect the entire life of a person, and often his/her surroundings.
